Breath is life – power end energy.. It’s our vital juice… and always with us 
Like a thread that links and connects all of the events in our life from beginning in the womb, to birth, throughout our life, until we take our last breath..

Yogi’s have been explaining the power of breath for 1000’s of years… and we have been aware of the healing power of the breath for centuries. Over the years, many different types of breathing practices have been developed, designed to bring about physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing connecting us to our deeper selves.

The autonomic nervous system is our brain's most primary survival system. As humans, we have this hardwired system which houses our ‘fight & flight’ and our ‘rest & digest’ mechanism. 
Practices like yoga, mindfulness, meditation and deep breathing taps into the Parasympathetic nervous system, our ‘rest & restore’ and there are some more active breathing practices such as conscious connected breathwork that can slightly stimulate our Sympathetic nervous system, our fight & flight’ that can allow memories and past experiences to arise for us to release.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious Connected Breathing is a self healing modality that can help to release tension, pain and trauma in the body, allowing memories and suppressed emotions to come to the surface within a safe environment where we can breathe through them and release them.

It’s often emotional or mental upset that causes breathing restrictions, because our tendency is to hold our breath as a reaction to overwhelming feelings, and as this happens the body cleverly files it a way within the body for another time when it can be dealt with. But of course over time, the body gets fuller and fuller with this unprocessed mental and emotional energy.

Memories and unhealthy or negative thoughts can often keep us stuck in the past, along with trapped and suppressed emotions, so if we are able to release the mental and emotional blockages our breath will be less restricted, and there is a freer flow or energy through the body.

Conscious connected breath work can also help us reach higher states of consciousness, where we can reset, rewire and recharge our systems, feel more empowered and find emotional freedom.

Breathwork is a wonderful gift to give ourselves. It can be a deeply transformative practice gifting us with the opportunity to deeply connect with our core being, allowing us to access higher states of consciousness, switching off the default mode of thinking. 

By accessing this freedom through the breath, profound healing, liberation and empowerment can be found.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME

I am an experienced breathwork, mindfulness and yoga practitioner with over 25 years of working with the body/mind healing and self enquiry.

I have had experience over the years working with clients from all walks of life, from youth level to seniors, in the corporate sector, NHS, women’s refuge, mental health, retreats and host holistic mind/body events.

When we work together, we will focus on an holistic mind/body wellness.

  3. I'm here to support you in transforming what needs to be explored and released

WHAT WOULD A SESSION LOOK LIKE

We would start with an initial free 15 minute consultation to find out what you are looking for and if I can support you.

From there we would discuss what goals you have in mind and whether you want a package of sessions or a particular one-off session

Sessions range from 1-2 hours and can take place in person or online, both work well.

The main focus of my work is breathwork and drawing on self-enquiry in mindfulness, bringing awareness of presence and to simply be aware of the present moment, including our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations without judging them or pushing them away.
It is an informed ethical practice, trauma-informed and honouring both our personal boundaries as we work together

I work with a few clients individually who want to dive deeper into understanding breath, to release stress, anxiety and blocks through the emotional body. These practices are transformational and are tools for life, drawing on them again and again when needed... But often once stress, anxiety and even trauma is allowed to be fully expressed, we feel very different, lighter and more at ease.
These sessions will be fully guided by me and we will be exploring the different practices which feel appropriate to you and your process and you will also be supported between the sessions if you need.
